I’m glad you asked. A while back I saw a tweet that suggested that the Talking Heads are just the Red Hot Chili Peppers for grad students, and I thought to myself “Wow, that’s fun. I’m having so much fun reading this tweet. You know, I bet a lot of bands can be compared to another band, for a specific group of people.”
So I got to work. I merged three things I’m good at: consuming music journalism, being Morbidly Online, and writing little jokes.
The result is over 53 million unique combinations from my brain, chewed up and spit out on a dive bar bathroom mirror. That is, after all, the best place to see the Sharpie-penned hot takes—both bad and good—of the bar-goers who came before you.
